Mission
To foster a safe, efficient, and environmentally
sound transportation system by improving the
skills and knowledge of local transportation
providers through training, technical assistance,
and technology transfer.
Goals
- To offer informative, innovative, and
affordable transportation-related training
and knowledge-sharing programs tailored to
meet the workforce development needs of Virginia's
localities to improve the level of transportation
services provided to the traveling public.
- To provide responsive technical assistance
support to transportation officials in
Virginia's cities and towns to help find
solutions to local transportation problems.
- To foster and coordinate training partnerships
among local, state, and federal transportation
agencies and private sector organizations
in Virginia.
- To enhance the level of service and
depth of programs and services offered
by actively soliciting feedback from sponsors,
clients, and participants.
